We Need Your Help!

November 20th, 2014 by Tuff Turf Molebusters

Tuff Turf Molebusters has been selected as a top 10 finalist by Ford Motor Company to win a 2015 Ford Transit.  It is up to the public to vote now. Voting goes through November 30.  If Tuff Turf Molebusters was to win this Transit, it would bring nearly $20,000 in tax dollars, and custom equipment/paint to our local community. This will also help me to grow my business and bring more jobs to the local area.

Vole Damage This Winter

September 26th, 2014 by Tuff Turf Molebusters

Vole damage usually peaks in the winter months, as voles can run around under the snow unchecked by their natural predators. The most common damage we see is holes in the turf, peeled bark around shrubs/young trees and tracks all throughout the yard.  Below is a few examples:

We caught our 3000th mole this past week. This is a little ahead of last year, setting pace for another record breaking year! If we get a delayed winter, it could be a HUGE year for mole control!

Skunks are actively digging in lawns

September 16th, 2014 by Tuff Turf Molebusters

Skunks are tearing up a lot of lawns in west Michigan right now in search of food.  The most likely item they are searching for is grubs.  Even if you kill the grubs, skunks will continue to dig for another week or two.  Your best option is to trap them and relocate them.
