Lime

When your pH is too low (acid) it needs lime to bring it back to neutral.  Soil that is too acid does not allow the grass to use the nutrients available in the soil.  The grass then becomes yellow, thatch may build up faster, and root growth slows down.  Even when the grass is properly fertilized it can’t make use of the plant food.  Lime raises the pH of the soil and helps everything else we do work better.
